Dr. Torsten Heinemann has been Global Head of Innovation and Sustainability at Covestro since 2023.
After completing his doctorate in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Bayreuth, he started his career at Bayer AG in Leverkusen in 1992 as scientist in the Polyurethanes Research Department. He later took on various roles in the areas of Product Development, Application Development, Head of Research and Development, and Head of Digital R&D in Germany and Spain. From 2021 until his appointment as Global Head of Innovation and Sustainability, he was Head of Innovation at Covestro.
Dr. Heinemann is married with two children.
